Bequia
The main attractions of Bequia are … leisure, nature, its beaches, and the nice and welcoming people of this island. There are no big resorts, high-rise buildings, condo complexes – arriving in Bequia means „Getting Away From the Getaways“, as Jeremy Peters from the New York Times has pointed out so properly.
The beaches on the windward (East) side of the island are exposed to the Atlantic Ocean, sometimes a bit harder to access, but with its own rough and virgin beauty (Hope Bay, Spring Bay, Industry Bay and Park Bay). Friendship Bay on the south side, Lower Bay and the Princess Margaret Beach (both on the West side) are all well protected from the surf, the perfect places for a swim in shallow waters and and relaxing on ample sand beaches, where sometimes you are the only visitor.
Getting around is easy: you might consider renting a small car during your stay from the many local providers, or use one of the „open air“ taxi cabs. Please contact our facility manager for guiding you towards the best choices.
Bequia counts with a helpful weekly „newsletter“, Bequia This Week, which highlights the events for the coming week and contacts for leisure and restaurant reservations.
